French Connection: V Travels to Cannes With Her Host Fam

What was your favorite part of this week? Traveling to Cannes.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? Taking on more responsibilities but I also enjoyed helping out more with the family.

Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. I did a lot more with coordinating things for the kids and helping out at home.

Tell us about your week! Two days after returning from Pisa, we went to Cannes France! It was about a 4 hour drive from Milan. We stayed in a gorgeous apartment on the famous "Boulevard de la Croisette." The beach was a 10 min walk away and the iconic Cannes Film festival was just a little further down the road. The view from our rooms was amazing. We spent most mornings at the beach and sometimes we would even come back in the evening. These was also a park right by the beach. It was great having everything so close, the kids were never bored and it was fun watching them play at the beach. On Friday we took a taxi to "Le Petite Train", this is a train the takes you on an hour long tour of Cannes. Giovanni was so excited to get on the train but we played at the park earlier and 5 mins into the tour he fell asleep. On Sunday, Eliana did not have to work so she rented us a boat and we went out into the ocean to swim and see the city! It was so beautiful and relaxing. The boat ride was probably my favorite part of the whole week. I love how much my Italian family travels. I have seen so much of Italy and now I have even visited France! On Saturday we leave for Lipari, a small island off the coast of Sicily. I am so excited!
