M's Weekend in Venice

What were you grateful for this week?

Finishing out Z's last trip in Venice. And seeing Burano's bright colors.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?

Navigating the complicated streets of Venice!

Tell us about your week!

This week was really eye opening and eventful for me. I'm learning more and more about myself out here and it's been really cool to have time to sit and think about what my next step is.

Poor little [daughter of my host family] got sick at the end of this week so on Friday we went and got a milk from the cafe down the street and a little pastry. We painted pictures and did puzzles and went for a walk. [She] is improving more and more with her English and it's been so fun to spend time with her. She's such a sweet, happy little girl and I'm so grateful to be her au pair! We're becoming better friends as the days go on and it's so sweet to see her improve and grow! T

his weekend Z and I traveled to Venice! We did what we do best. Eat, walk and shop haha. We got hopelessly lost and apparently that's the whole point. We wandered around and absolutely fell in love with the scenery. The gondolas, the music, the people, it really is a magical place.

On Sunday we traveled to the nearby island of Burano. Basically it's the happiest place ever. It's so beautiful with all the colors you feel like you're in Disneyland! This is the last trip me and Z

will go on before she goes home and I'm so sad that she's leaving but I'm also so grateful that I've met a friend I know I'll have forever.
