🕰B’s Weekend in Prague
What were you grateful for this week? Unforgettable friendships I’ve made through this experience.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? Realizing I’m starting to come to the end of my my time here in Europe. I’m truly going to miss everything about this.
Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. My host family has an amazing nanny. She is constantly doing things around the house and making the yummiest meals. She found out her father isn’t doing very well so she went back home to be with him so I’m trying to help out with as much as I can while she’s gone.
Tell us about your week! This week I’ve done a lot of self reflecting. The beginning of this journey feels like a lifetime ago. I’ve had so many amazing, life changing experiences while I’ve been here. This week was very rainy so I didn’t get out too much but this weekend was amazing!!!
K, S2’s, & I went to Prague. Unpopular opinion...Prague is better than Paris. We got to see the Castle, it’s was absolutely beautiful. Prague has the biggest castle in the world!! We also got to visit the Prague bridge (Charles Bridge) at sunset. Charles IV, himself laid the first stone at 5:31 am on July 9th, 1357 (1357 9, 7 531). They believed that by forming a palindrome it would strengthen the bridge to withhold any type of disaster.. although, it didn’t really work out like that.
We got to see the Astronomical Clock. It goes off every hour but instead of the typical clock tower when bells ring this clock lights up and has these figurines which represent the 12 apostles rotating around the clock. It was extremely interesting.
We also had the chance to go to an illusion museum. IT WAS TRIPPY!! For the first time I wasn’t the tall one of the group, see pictures to understand.
Overall this was another amazing week/weekend that I will miss so much. UP NEXT: LONDON!!!
