🛬T2’s Arrival in Italy

What were you grateful for this week? The help of my host family.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The language barrier.

Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. Gave them their welcome presents.

Tell us about your week!  I just arrived in Italy on Saturday, so I don’t have much to say. But what I do have to say is this, Italy is amazingly beautiful and I am so glad I have taken a leap of faith and came in this trip. It can be scary, and overwhelming, but more than anything it is exciting. The adventure in me is screaming of happiness.

Coming from Phoenix, I had a quick layover in New York, on the way there the couple I was sitting next to were kind enough to let me have the window seat so I had a fantastic view of the New York skyline during the day. Then on the way out, blessed with the window seat again I was able to say goodbye to the New York skyline at night time (wow). Then about 7 hours later, I was finally in Milan! Being in Italy for the first time not knowing much Italian was overwhelming, thankfully my host mom was there with me through it all so I was able to overcome my nerves! Some more train rides later, and I arrived in THE most beautiful city; what I now get to call home, Merano. Filled with the most beautiful Christmas decorations and everything being so quaint, I can’t wait to spend my time here with this amazing family.
