👋🏼V’s Venetian Last Weekend💋

What were you grateful for this week? My host family!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? Traveling home.

Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. I was leaving this week and so I wrote a letter to my host sister and got her a goodbye gift and then also wrote a long letter to my host mom thanking her for everything she’s done.

Tell us about your week!  This week I went home! It has been such an amazing adventure to be in Italy for two months! I’m so thankful for the experiences I gained and the valuable lessons I learned. I would not trade those lessons for the world. I’m thankful for the time I spent with my host family, getting to know them and being welcomed into their home. It was exciting to come home and see my fiancé and family, but hard to leave my family in Italy. I will always love and remember them and I hope to be able to return to visit them again someday in the not too distant future!

They also gave me a beautiful bracelet that matches my engagement ring perfectly to say goodbye! I can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day! For my last trip before leaving, I went to Venice with a couple of Rome Abroad friends and toured around the city! I stayed in a hostel and met the girls the next day for breakfast, a Grand Canale cruise, lunch, and exploring! It was so great to be able to end this trip with a bang in Venice with great people! They got my mind off the stress of my travels home the next day and helped me enjoy the last hours I had in Italy to their fullest! I’m so thankful for the times I spent in Italy and I will always remember the months I spent as a Rome Abroad Traveler.
