💝M2’s Week Exploring Rome
What were you grateful for this week? I was grateful to meet up with the some other Rome Abroad girls this week finally. It was nice to talk to people who speak English and it was nice that we could relate to each other!
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? This week was my first full week watching the kids so it was challenging to try and learn the schedule and get used to it.
Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. This week I helped clean up around the house extra by picking up things that weren’t necessarily my responsibility.
Tell us about your week! This week was great to explore Rome more! I have free time every day until 4:15 so I have a lot of time to see things. I met up with the two other Rome Abroad girls in Rome this week and it was so nice. I loved being able to talk in English and them being able to understand everything I said lol. It was also so nice to talk since we can all relate being in the same situation.
This week we saw the Pantheon and the Vatican City. Both were awesome! I could not believe how crazy cool everything was in the Vatican museums. All of the artists had so much talent and it blew my mind they could create some of the things they did so long ago! One of the other Rome Abroad girls knew a lot of art history so it was great that she was able to tell us a lot of stuff.
Afterwards, we ended up at an awesome authentic Italian restaurant. They told us it was family-owned and they were super welcoming, they kept giving us free stuff and were so nice! The Pantheon was unbelievable! It’s so hard to comprehend how they built that so long ago with such little technology. It was beautiful and while we were there, a little choir came in and sang which was so cool. I also ate a lot of gelato this week and did some shopping (oops) haha but I mean I’m in Italy I have to right?
