☕️ B’s Weekend in Rome

What were you grateful for this week? Not traveling alone! Sometimes, traveling by yourself has its perks, but I was grateful to have someone else with me.

What was the most challenging part of this week? Getting my train ticket for Rome.

Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. I try to do what I can to help out, but honestly my family is so amazing it’s hard to beat what they do for me!

Tell us about your week!

Another great week in Italy!! This week, I prepared to go to Rome for the weekend. To start, on Thursday I went out with some of my host mom's co-workers for a night. They were all so nice! One of the girls said she spent two months in Rome and she knew lots of places to eat and things to see. She texted me the next day and wrote them all down! It was amazing!

Friday was the day I was supposed to leave, and I received an email about my train ticket but it was all in Italian. That morning, I went to the train station to try and figure out what was happening with my ticket. Apparently, my ticket was cancelled due to a problem with my card. Unfortunately, I was unable to call my bank because they were closed (the time difference can be a bit of a struggle). I called my mom and she had to go down to the bank because they put a fraud alert on my card. Banks are the worst! I did get it figured out, but I arrived in Rome an hour later than I was supposed to.

ROME WAS AMAZING. So much history and so many things to see. And the food was INCREDIBLE! I had the best cappuccino I’ve ever had in my entire life. It lived up to everything I imagined, which is mostly the plot to the Lizzie McGuire movie. Although, I did not meet an international pop star named Paolo (I know, very disappointing).

This week was great! Looking forward to another amazing week!
