🥾Gold Coast: T’s Week✨

What were you grateful for this week? Bonding with my host mom more.

What was the most challenging part of this week? Getting [my host family’s son] up and ready for school. Struggled because he wouldn’t listen at times.

Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. I went with my family to the beach to help out on my day off.

Tell us about your week!  Some exciting things were that [my host family’s son] started his first week of school. It was fun to get him up everyday and walk him to school while he rode his scooter. I then spent the day to myself by going to the gym and going to the bakery to kill time before going to have to pick him up at 3. I loved coming home and doing activities with him such as playing with toys, painting or playing video games before bed.

Some things I learned is patience and to just go with the flow at times. He can be hard to handle but he’s such a fun little hyper boy who brings so much fun and joy. I enjoyed going to the Gold Coast this weekend with 2 other girls that I met along the way. I enjoyed lying on the beach and going to clubs to meet people from all around the country. Walking the strip and going into all the little stores also was fun.

Something interesting that we saw in Gold Coast was the amount of Ugg stores they have but then again, Ugg’s are made in Australia. Overall, I’ve had a really good week with my host family and I feel that I am becoming a local more and more everyday that I am here. I can’t wait for the next few weeks!
