💃🏻Dancing on Eat Street: T’s Week in Australia

What were you grateful for this week? Honestly, being able to have the house to myself for 4 days.

What was the most challenging part of this week? Keeping busy since [my host mom & son] were away.

Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. I helped grocery shop & clean up a little on a Saturday morning although it was my day off.

Tell us about your week!  This week was a little boring but overall it went well. My host mom was gone from Tuesday morning through Friday night due to meetings she had in Malaysia. It was nice to be have to have the house to yourself for awhile but also got boring on the second day when you run out of things to do! HAHA!

This weekend was very fun though. On Friday, I went to something called Eat Street which is basically how it sounds, a street which tons of different food trucks to eat at. After that, a few other au pairs and I went to a club and danced all night long and ended up meeting some new friends and even some different au pairs. Saturday & Sunday I went down to south bank to run some miles because I am preparing myself for a 10k that I am going to run next week! Hopefully it’s cool outside and not like the recent weather we’ve had lately, hot and humid.

Overall, my week was very good. I love Australia so much and the more I’m here to more I feel like I am able to call it home. I really don’t know what I’m gonna do when I have to leave this beautiful place in just 3 short months. Can’t wait to see what these next few weekends bring!
