💫 A’s Loving Australia!

What were you grateful for this week? The wonderful friends I’ve made.

What was the most challenging part of this week? I’ve been very homesick.

Tell us about a "wow" moment you had this week. I packed everyone’s lunch one day.

Tell us about your week! This week was good. I had a lot of fun with the kids. We went to the mall and they rode some of the little dollar rides there and it was so fun! My host sister is so silly she says some of the funniest things and always knows what to say to make me smile.

This week was pretty hard for me. I’m not sure why this week particularly but I’ve just been missing home and my family and friends so much. What has been amazing though is the friends I’ve made here have been so wonderful and amazing to me. They are so sweet and let me talk to them and cry and dance and be silly and I love hanging out with them! We went shopping on Saturday and then went out with some of their work friends for drinks, then played Mario parts at their apartment. Sunday was pretty relaxed. I went out to dinner with my other friend at a buffet and it made me feel at home haha. I ate like 4 rolls! And I got a few soda since over here they don’t fill up your sodas at most restaurants like they do at home. I bought this yellow and white stripped shirt and it’s up there with my croc hat from the zoo as my best purchases so far. I also got a shirt at H&M that says Maryland and then Baltimore under it. My grandma was born there and she passed away before I went to high school and when I saw this shirt I felt like she was here with me looking out for me. So I bought it too! But I really am loving my time here and I’m making some great friends and I can’t believe it’s almost October!!
