💗 Giving Back

Hi there!

At Rome Abroad, we love giving back to communities and organizations that do good. Traveling can really give you a different perspective on the world. Overall, I’ve noticed that when I travel more, I also want to help people in need more! Giving to groups that have a goal of making the world a better place is especially satisfying. Here are two of the groups we’ve donated to over the years:

1. Habitat for Humanity

This non-profit’s mission statement is: “Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope”. Among other things, Habitat for Humanity organizes home construction (with no profit) with volunteer labor and materials.

2. Faithful Plateful

Faith is a food blogger who loves sharing nutritious, plant-based (and kid-friendly!) recipes. It’s a constant and pleasant surprise just how yummy these simple treats and meals are.

Would you like to give back? We believe everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status, should have the chance to travel! That’s why we seek to support future Travelers who may not be able to afford their own flight and/or program fee. Now you can donate (even as little as $1) to our scholarship fund!

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness…Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”

—Mark Twain
