I went to Matteo’s soccer game and they won! It’s great to see how supportive and passionate the parents are.
Tell us about your week!My first week in Italy was awesome. I felt like I have seen and experienced so much in just one week. I arrived in Milan and was able to see The Duomo before I had to catch a train to Livorno. My family picked me up and drove me back to Venturina, where they live. My host family is great, they are really nice and make amazing food (my favorite thing has been eating so much cheese). We visited the mom’s parents that live in Viterbo, which is a really cool medieval city. They walked around the city with me and showed me some really beautiful places in Viterbo. The day after Viterbo, they offered to take me to Rome and let me explore for two days while they had other errands to run, so I stayed overnight in Rome and visited as many places that I could. The mom left me a map with 14 of her favorite places to visit it Rome. I practically had to run to get to all of them but I did it! Some of those places included The Colosseum, Pantheon, The Vatican, and The Spanish Steps. I loved Rome, it felt like a dream seeing so much history and culture in such a short amount of time. After staying the night in Rome and exploring, I went back to Venturina with the family. The family is super welcoming and nice. I’ve loved my first week in Italy!
