What were you grateful for this week? I had some troubles with my plane back from Spain and my mom helped me figure it out for which I was extremely grateful. What would I do without her?
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The issues with my ticket was very stressful but eventually it all worked out as it always does. It cost me a little extra and was nerve wracking at the time.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. During my free time I’ve been working on trying to come up with games to play with the kids that involve English. It’s a seems like a small effort, but I hope the kids like the games and can keep working to improve their English.
Tell us about your week! After a great week in Imperia, I flew out to Barcelona for the weekend with Parly. Saturday morning was spent wandering down a popular tourist road, La Rambla, and through the alleys of El Gòtic. There we got to see the Barcelona Cathedral. We walked from the church to the Arc de Triomf, stopping at anything and everything that caught our eye along the way.
La Boqueria, a popular market selling all sorts of foods, was next on our list. We walked between the various stalls sipping on fruit smoothies and munching on chocolate strawberries. Once our appetites had returned, we went and ate on the roof of Hotel 1898 with views of the entire city. To finish off the great day we went to the Font Màgica where we saw a water show not unlike the water shows at Disneyland, minus the Princesses. The next day was just as fun and exciting. We started with stopping to grab some donuts which we ate on our way to Sagrada Familia. Sagrada Familia is a famous cathedral in Barcelona that stands tall above the city. Equally impressive was Parc Güell, which we saw next. It features cool Gaudi architecture and amazing views of the city. For dinner we ate just off La Rambla, which we once again explored to conclude our day. Monday was a chill beach day spent lounging near the waves and walking along the shore. Gelato and churros added to the already amazing day which added to the already amazing week. I’m so glad we got to go to Barcelona as it was definitely an unforgettable trip.
