What were you grateful for this week?

I’m grateful for my host family, honestly always. I just can’t believe how lucky I got with them. This week they gave me this cute pandora bracelet so that I can remember this experience forever. It was the sweetest gesture and definitely is something I will wear and cherish forever. What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most difficult part of this week was probably being away from my family for Thanksgiving. I missed being able to spend that day with my whole family, and for me it was just a normal day in Italy. But hey there is always next year 🙂Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. This week I helped clean up dinner every night, whether it be loading the dishwasher, cleaning up the place mats or wiping the counters.Tell us about your week! My week was pretty basic. The time I’m with my host family, I was usually just helping out/playing with the twins.

On Thursday, I went to Milky with my host mom & her mom. I’m really hoping I get to go one more time this week before I head home. After Milky, we went Black Friday shopping. I had no idea that was a thing world wide haha. The mall we went to is one of my favorites, it’s huge and has everything you can think of! The mall was packed all day long! I love shopping, but it was exhausting. The twins did not like being in the stroller all day, and they didn’t really nap. All of us on the way home couldn’t stop talking about how tired we were. I was fighting falling asleep in the car.

My weekend was pretty relaxed. K, K’s cousins who flew in on thanksgiving, and I went to Milan for the weekend. We got an Airbnb & pretty much did some last minute shopping for things we wanted to take home. Milan was packed, probably because it was Black Friday weekend as well. We went to the Starbucks Roastery, tried some really good bubble tea, ate pizza & gelato for my last time. We also enjoyed wine at one of our favorite little places in Milan called God Save the Food. It’s about 15 minute walk from Duomo and it has a cute patio with heaters & blankets. It’s in the middle of this cute plaza and it’s always packed. It’s a great place to meet friends and hang out for a bit. I really enjoyed spending my last weekend in the place that it all began. I’m really going to miss this wonderful place & all the places I was lucky to travel to. I really miss my family at home, but man am I going to miss this family here ????
