What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
I am getting anxious about getting home!!
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.On Saturday I spent some time with the boys doing english!
Tell us about your week! This week was a little shaky hahah. It all was going smoothly until about Thursday. Thursday, as you might remember, was Thanksgiving back in the states. S and I made some freaking good plans to meet up and go get KFC. KFC is the closest thing you can get to thanksgiving here. *side note. something that is important, before I continue, about me that you need to know: I usually know where I am going. I usually remember how to get places. But sometimes I do not but I like to think I do. It is just who I am, my family hates it about me hahah* So I tell S, “Ok there’s a KFC by termini (the train station) that I pass all the time. Lets go there and get it to go and we can picnic and it will be SO MUCH FUN.” She agreed that it was the best option we had to an authentic thanksgiving meal so we met up and started our trek. something else you should know: termini is not close to either of our houses. We get where I thought it was and there is definitely no KFC. hahah I felt so bad. We got directions and are like ok it is pretty far but we can get on the metro. It will not take too long to get there. Get to the metro, S does not have her debit card hahah (mine snapped in half last week). So we go back get her debit card and end up staying in Trastevere for a fat, juicy burger. It was still very American, very good, but just not the KFC mashed potatoes I had hoped. M2 was in town this weekend!! She is so sweet and I am so glad we got to see her one more time before we go home. She was kind enough to let us tag along with her and some friends that were here visiting with her. She also went to church with me on sunday morning, which was so so nice of her. We took her to our favorite burger shop as well, if you haven’t noticed we have been eating lots of burgers hahah, and then we went and walked around the city a bit. This week has been very laid back. I am getting very anxious to get home and see my cute family. I am starting to worry about how I will get all my things home by squishing them into my bag but somehow I am sure it will all work out.
