What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Getting the boys to listen to me and speak English.

I took the boys to school this week while their parents were traveling for work. 

Tell us about your week! 
M and I had a fun week in Milan, we went inside the Duomo which was absolutely incredible. There’s a lot to do in the center of the city so we spent most of our week there. 

 

We went to Rome early on Friday and spent the whole day exploring. We saw the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps and of course the Trevi Fountain, I’ve been waiting to see the fountain since the Lizzie McGuire movie came out. I tossed about 8 coins in just in case, I wanted to be sure I’d come back to Rome and that my wish would come true. I also ate the best pizza of my life on Friday so I’d say it was a great day. 

 

On Saturday we went to the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel. WOWOWOW. I could roam those halls for days! This place suppresses every expectation. We got movie theater popcorn and cookies for dinner and watched a movie at the hotel, definitely ended the day right. 

 

On Sunday we saw The Colosseum, Roman Forum (both so AMAZING) Palatine Hill and looked through the keyhole on Aventine Hill. 

 

I had the best gelato of my life and we got pizza at our new favorite spot again, food is a big deal to us. Rome was everything I dreamed of and more!
