What were you grateful for this week?
That things are getting easier.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Finding my way home from Z’s house. I ended up biking 3 miles.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
It was cool seeing how [the daughter] and I were bonding a little better as the week went on. She started speaking more in English to me.

Tell us about your week!
This week I’m grateful I’ve figured out the basics to getting around Milan! It’s getting a little easier day by day to find out where I am by looking at street signs and remembering paths. I learned how to take the bus this week haha. I had to pick up [my host family’s daughter] from school by myself and I somehow navigated how to get there! I was pretty proud of myself considering I’m not the best with directions.

Z and I have spent most of the week days just walking around Milan! Everything is so beautiful that it’s kind of fun to just take a walk and see where you end up. We’ve also been eating our weight in gelato so walking is kind of a necessity.

We traveled to Lake Como for the weekend and stayed in the cutest air b&b! The view overlooked the entire lake. We spent the weekend touring the duomo and shopped all day. Lake Como is just a quiet little town. I kinda thought of it as the park city of Italy. Very small, elegant, and beautiful! Riding the train home was kind of confusing. There’s so many stops you never really know when you’re supposed to get off so we got lucky that we didn’t have to back track.
