What were you grateful for this week?
That Z is my friend.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
I got food poisoning in cinque terre so that was fun haha.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
[My host family’s daughter] is starting to become closer to me. She hugs me now and likes to kiss my cheek so it’s been cool to see her get used to me being there.

Tell us about your week!
[My host family’s daughter] is getting better and better with her English! I’m super lucky that she goes to an English school and understands most of what im trying to say to her! In the beginning she would only speak to me in italian, but now she only talks to me in English! She’s by far the smartest three year old I’ve ever met. It’s been nice getting more familiar with life here in Milan and with my host family! I’m starting to get more and more into a routine which has been really helpful.

This weekend Z and I went to cinque terre and it was so so beautiful! The colors of all the buildings made you feel like you were in Disney land. The 5 villages are all quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of the sea. We took the ferry out to all the villages and spent a little time on all of them. It was nice to have a relaxing weekend outside of busy Milan!

Z and I had a movie night and made pesto pasta at home, slapped on a facemask and watched how to be single and it was so fun haha. Z and I have plans to go to Rome next week and I’m super excited to be the touriest tourist ever! It’s been amazing to see new places every weekend.
