Granita, Swimming, and Vietri Sul Mare: M3’s Second Week in Rome

This week has been very filled with a lot of activities. My friend and I went and saw more of Rome with one of the host family friends. He took us to see so many sights and after we went and got granita which is amazing. I can’t eat dairy so the Popsicles I had were fruit flavored and the melon one was so good. Then we swam a lot at the house during the day to beat the heat and would play a lot of games with the young girl here. We’d color and play a ton of card games and she loves it.

This weekend my friend and I went to a place in the Amalfi coast which was called Vietri Sul Mare it was a tiny town with a town of class shops and tiny markets all over. We stayed in a small BNB and then we walked to the beach on Saturday and just relaxed there the entire day. On Sunday it was a little more stressful trying to figure out the trains and how they work. We ended up on some we weren’t even supposed to be on and just completely getting lost and confused and asking anyone we could for help! We were jumping from train to bus from train to bus, until we finally made it back to Rome. We ended the crazy day with a big dinner the host family was having with some friends and family and some vegan gelato which was very good.
