What were you grateful for this week?
Safety, the opportunity to go see more of Italy, and Church. What was a difficult or challenging part of this week?
K2 and I experienced some difficulty in Napoli.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. A “wow” moment I had this week was helping out with extra little things that I do every week like dishes and sweeping.
Tell us about your week!
I feel like I say this every week, but it was definitely an adventure! K2 and I were able to travel to Napoli for the weekend and had such a fun time shopping on Friday. They have the cutest little shops!
On Saturday, we got up and went to the Amalfi Coast. THIS, this my friends, is where you need to go if you come to Italia. It was K2 and my favorite trip we’ve taken since we’ve been here. And although I’m glad I’m living in Rome, I’m SO glad I was able to see the Amalfi Coast.
Anyways, we took this bus along the coastline which was straight up sketch sometimes because while the road was clearly only safe for one direction traffic, Italia had a different plan. We actually loved the bus ride though (even though I’ve never in my life been on a road so twisty-turny), and even though we came within inches of hitting walls and cars (really though. This happened.), it was great.
Amalfi was where we spent most of our time. It’s definitely touristy, but the ceramics, gelato, and pretty sunset on the coast deffffinitely made up for it. The next day we went to church (which we loved) and then went home by train that night.
PRO TIP: Take a taxi if in Napoli at night. Just do. You’ll thank me. 😉
