What were you grateful for this week?EVERYTHING! 🙂

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?K and I had to sleep at the airport on Friday night so we didn’t miss our flight early the next morning. But it turns out that the airport actually closed at midnight so we got kicked out and had to sleep on the streets. It was dirty, freezing cold, and slightly dangerous, but definitely an adventure! 🙂

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Movie night!! [My host mom] was late getting back home on Thursday night, so I decided to make the kids fresh popcorn and watch “Minions” with them on my bed. It was so much fun!

Tell us about your week! This week was incredible! There were definitely difficult moments, but mostly I’ve just been overwhelmed with gratitude because I can’t believe I’m able to live here and experience all these things! I literally wake up every morning at the crack of dawn, even if I have my alarm set for 9:00. It’s become physically impossible for me to sleep in because I’m just so excited for my day to start! Life is so beautiful!

This week I was able to take a trip to Germany and it was SO incredible! I’ve never met such warm, kind people, and I instantly fell in love with the country and the culture. We flew into Nuremberg, explored, went to church, visited castles, and ate more than our fair share of weinerschnitzel and Nuremberg sausages 🙂 I love seeing the differences between Italian culture and other countries. It’s amazing how unique each part of the world is!

[My host mom’s] cousin came to stay with us before she has her baby in the next week or so, so that’s exciting! [The daughter and son] are still as cute as ever, and I get along with them really well. I’m still enjoying Italian food way too much and finding it hard to even think about going home in a month. I love Italy with all my heart!
