What were you grateful for this week?K, she plans all of our trips out. Without her I wouldn’t be going to all of these cool cities!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? I can’t think of anything!!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I took [my host family’s daughter] to the park and got her gelato one day after school!

Tell us about your week! This weekend we went to Lake Garda! A little lake town about 15 minutes by train ride away from Verona. We stayed at this really cool hostel, nicest one we have been to yet! The lobby had a cafe and bar, filled with lounge chairs, bean bags, and hammocks. People were playing pool & phoozeball, books to read everywhere, and really neat paintings and drawings.

We checked in and went straight to the beach, it was so nice! We laid out on the dock for a little while but it was a little crowded so we moved to the sand. J and I forgot towels so K shared hers with us. After the beach we went back to the hostel got ready and went out for some yummy Italian food, we got truffle for our appetizer…and dang, that was good! And of course to finish the night GELATO????.

The next day we went to Gardaland amusement park! It was so freaking fun! It was a good change from what we usual do on the weekends! Don’t get me wrong I love visiting cool cities and seeing all the cathedrals and stuff. But it was fun just goofing off like little kids for a day. The park had different themes through it all. Like galaxy, Chinatown, India, western. Stuff like that. By the end of the day our feet hurt so dang bad aha, it was good for us though!

We returned back to the hostel took a little break and went out to dinner to this amazing Brazilian sushi restaurant that the hostel clerk told us to try! We scarfed down that sushi in like 7 minutes lol. And of course finished our night with nothing other than GELATO????. Monday morning we wanted to layout on the beach to get a little sunbathing in for the day, then took a train over to Verona. We were only able to spend seriously about 2 & 1/2 hours there, but it was still cool seeing the arena! And they had tents all along it with all different types of food! It was quick but well worth it! Another great weekend for the books????
