What were you grateful for this week?Lorena.
What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? Moving to the mountain house.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Trying to keep a brave face when the kids get tough.
Tell us about your week! We have moved to the mountain! And it is a whole new world in the summer. It’s straight out of the sound of music, no joke. It’s beautiful. And [my host mom] has been working really hard on designing the garden and getting it ready for the summer and she has done an AMAZING job. It’s out of this world. The weather is amazing, we get to play outside all the time, there are tons of hikes that are available. It’s really wonderful. I thought it was incredible during the winter, but this is something else. [My host mom] told me I would fall in love with it even more and she was right.
This will be our longest stint at the mountain, and there will be a lot visitors as well so it’s going to be challenging but challenges are all part of it and things get boring without. So we will be here until the 5th (supposedly) of July, just before we go to Paris. It’s a lot of fun when we host other families in the house because then all of the kids get to play together and they’re obviously happier (and more tired at the end of the day which makes everything easier).
I went away briefly and a bit spontaneously this weekend, and when I finally arrived back at the house, the hug I received from [my host family’s son] was life changing.
