Grateful in Paris: C’s Week

What were you grateful for this week?hostels. we have made so many new friends just from staying in a hostel.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?I am nostalgic for home! with the time of year and it being a time I usually spend with my family.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I made english flash cards for the boys.

Tell us about your week!if this were a friends episode, it would be titled, “The one when everyone I meet is shocked that my dad only has one wife.” hahah. It’s true. Every person I have met that finds out I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, they always ask me if I can wear shorts or how many wives my dad has. For some reason in Paris I got questioned about this a lot. I do not know why hahah but it was very interesting how my eyes have been opened to how not as many people know about my religion than I thought.Paris was very cool (literally and figuratively). We arrived early in the morning, and I mean EARLY. We had to leave S’s place at 3 am to be to the airport on time. It was a trek lol. We got into Paris at about 8:30 in the morning and had to take a bus into the city center. We got on the metro and went to the closest monument: the Arc De Triomphe. S was so cute haha she was so excited to be in the city of her dreams. we then found our way to the eiffel tower. We walked around it, got loads of pictures (of course), and actually met some other girls that are living in Rome! Then we headed to our hostel, checked in, and took the fattest nap! it was so amazing.

That night we stayed at the bar in the downstairs of the hostel and we made a few friends that I know I will always remember and keep in touch with. If you ask me, there has been a lot of really cool things that I have got to do with my experience in Italy. However, my all time favorite is meeting people that will have an impression on my for the rest of my life. That is something I will always be grateful for.

The next day we went with our pals to the Louvre, back to the eiffel tower, and then back home. We got to see the Eiffel tower from a really cool view. It was also at sunset so we decided to stay and watch it light up AND SPARKLE. After we saw it sparkle once we stayed for another round because it was seriously just amazing, despite me not being able to feel my hands because of the -29083438925 weather. in honor of the week of thanksgiving, here is a small list of the things I am grateful for, after such an amazing week (and honestly, just an amazing time so far):

Friends that will be close to my heart forever

airlines that don’t charge you 55 euro when you forget to check in online

people that sleep without snoring

moments that you think, “I wish this moment could last forever,” and lastly,

the opportunity to be able to see so many breathtaking views <3 :)))
