What were you grateful for this week?FaceTime.
What was the most challenging part of this week?I got a little homesick towards the end of this week, but all is well now!
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I try to do what I can for my host family. Sometimes it’s just the little things!
Tell us about your week! This week was pretty chill! I finally got together with Rome Abroad friends for lunch and that was way fun. It’s always nice to talk to people that know where you’re coming from and can relate! It was pretty rainy this week, and cold, so I’ve been fighting a cold (the worst!!) it seems to be getting better though!
I continue to go to the same gelato place almost every day. I’ve gotten to the point that when I walk in, the guy that works there just starts making my order. I find that to be a great accomplishment!
One of the girls that I got close with from Rome Abroad went home last week. Thankfully, she was in Milan for her last day so we had gelato and dinner while she was here. It was super fun!
Towards the end of the week, I got a little homesick. I’m human, it happens to everyone! I FaceTimed my friends and my family, realized I was in Italy, and quickly got over the homesickness.
I took advantage of the first Sunday of the month with some art museum hopping. All of them are free the first Sunday so it was so cool!! There’s always free fun everywhere you go.
I’m also planning another trip to Rome for this weekend! It should be an adventure as we are taking an over night bus! Can’t wait to see what’s to come!
