What were you grateful for this week?ATM Milano transportation app.
What was the most challenging part of this week?Having other people from the Rome Abroad group come to Milan, and having to plan everything.
Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.Something extra I did for my host family this week was buy juice and snacks for the kids when I picked them up from school when they ran out.
Tell us about your week! This week was much better than the last one. I feel like I am comfortable with the kids, the parents and the housekeeper. They are all so kind to me and help wherever they can. The kids do several activities, and require being picked up at different times and places, I feel like I have the schedule down finally. I also don’t get lost in Milan quite as often. This week the parents went out to dinner twice and I had to put the kids to bed. In the past this has been very difficult for me. The boys have a hard time when it’s time to stop playing and get ready for bed. Luckily this week when I put them down to bed, they listened pretty well and actually got some sleep ha. It’s been fun to see the boys communication with me keep getting better, I try to get them to talk to me the whole way home from school each day and it’s definitely paying off.
The best part of my week was when my friends T from the United States finally got to Italy to do the program, I picked her up from the airport on Friday and got to travel around Milan with her.
On Sunday me and another girl from Rome Abroad took a 5 hour train ride to Pisa! The leaning tower we saw was definitely worth the total of 9 hours we spent on the train!
