What were you grateful for this week?My host family bought me flowers for Valentine’s Day. 

What was the most challenging part of this week?I thought my family would be in Sydney so I couldn’t go to the Sunshine Coast with other au pairs, but then we ended up not going to Sydney so I missed out on the beach. 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.I went on coffee runs for my host mom. 

Tell us about your week! This week was good! My host mom and I took her daughter to the pool and it was a bit of a challenge to walk there but we made it and the little girl loved it! On Valentine’s Day my host family gave me some really pretty flowers and a really kind note with them! I also received a flower delivery from my Mom and Dad and I thought that was so sweet of them! 

Over the weekend my host mom and I went to a bar and had fries with gravy and cheese on them and we had jalapeño poppers and popcorn chicken. It was so good!! We also got gelato and played jenga at the bar, it was a great time! One night this week my host family ordered pizza from dominos and let me tell ya, dominos in Australia somehow tastes better than dominos in America! 

Today I have officially been in Australia for one month!! So crazy! Time has gone by so fast! I haven’t been to the beach yet and I’m itching to go so hopefully I’ll get to one in the next week or two! My host family should be moving to Sydney soon so I’m soaking in Brisbane as much as I can before I get to adventure in Sydney! I definitely keep busy running around chasing the little girl, she gets better and faster at walking every day but it is so fun to watch her learn!
