J’s Progress in Milan

What were you grateful for this week?Living in Milan.

What was the most challenging part of this week?Getting sick.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Staying later one night when the family needed me to.

Tell us about your week! This was a very nice week, but not a very exciting week as things go. Especially after my long trip, Milan really feels like home now. The places I go often are familiar to me now and back here I’m really starting to settle in.

That being said, Milan is still an enormous city and there’s a lot to see. Although Milan doesn’t have as much left of its old Roman architecture, it is a beautiful modern city and there are still many beautiful pieces of art and architecture, historic and modern, and the city overall, especially in the center but even in the suburbs, is very beautiful and pretty clean, too.

This last week my plan was to go to see the old cemetery with a group of other people, but unfortunately I had a stomach-ache that kept me up for the last half of the night, and I stayed home to recover and catch up on sleep for the first half of the day instead.

I don’t feel like I’m progressing very fast in my Italian classes, but when I look back to how I was the first few weeks, I realize how far I’ve come and I feel much better about it. I hope we’ll be able to cover all the major aspects of grammar, including some of those pesky little pronouns, by the time I finish here.
