OUR FAVORITE MUSEUMS IN EUROPE:

✨ The Louvre in Paris, France – This famous museum is home to works such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, the moving, large painting of The Raft of the Medusa, incredible statues like Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, and so much more! It could take you days to see every display in the museum so we recommend mapping out what you’d like to see first, and of course utilizing Rick Steves’ audio tour!

✨ The Prado in Madrid, Spain – The Prado, located in Madrid, is one of the largest collections of paintings in the world. Some of the famous works include The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch, tons of paintings by Fransisco Goya, and Las Meninas by Velázquez.

✨ The Uffizi Galleries in Florence, Italy – Admire amazing works of the Renaissance including art by Botticelli, Raffaello, Michelangelo, & more. This one is seriously a beautiful gallery and it’s best if you get in line before it opens! Also, order your tickets online beforehand and you can save a lot of time.

✨ The Musee d’Orsay in Paris, France – If you love Impressionist works, this is your place. You can admire works by Impressionist artists like Manet, Monet, Renoir, Cezanne, and more.

✨ The National Gallery in London, England – Check out Arnolfini and His Bride by Jan van Eyck, works by Da Vinci, Van Gogh, and other treasures of art history in this incredible collection. Plus, this museum is definitely a win because admission is free!

✨ The Vatican Museums in Rome, Italy – Don’t miss this one! Can you see detailed pictures of the Sistine Chapel online? Yes. Will they measure up to a real-life experience seeing them in the actual flesh? No, they will not. Same goes for incredible statues like Laocoön and Bernini’s St. Longinus.

✨ The Picasso Museum in Barcelona, Spain – This is one of the largest collections of Pablo Picasso and is located in Barcelona. It hosts over 4,500 works by the artist and has a 4.4 star rating with over 21,539 Google reviews!

✨ Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence, Italy – Although this museum doesn’t have an extensive collection, quality trumps quantity, as they say. Michelangelo’s David is worth all the ticket price 10 times over plus any wait time in line! It’s seriously breathtaking and more words won’t do it justice. Just do yourself a favor and trust us — go see it! (Plus, a trip to Florence never hurt anyone 😉)
