What were you grateful for this week?
ANYONE that speaks English.

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?
Waking up early enough to see things.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
I’be never played soccer before, but I always enjoy playing soccer with my host brother. He tries to teach me what he can!!

Tell us about your week!
I’ve been noticing the same struggle since I’ve been here, and it’s one that I struggle with at home as well. WAKING UP. I’ve never been the best at planning things (whether it be big things or small things) and because of this, I’ve been finding it hard to have motivation to get up and going in the mornings. I’ve really been reflecting, and honestly it’s selfish of me to stay inside all day until 4:00 when I need to be somewhere. Not only am I living other people’s dream, more importantly, I’m living MY dream. Since I’ve been in Milan, the shutters on the outside on my window have been shut, making my room a cave. Today, I’ve made the decision to keep them open until I leave. Hopefully that will make it easier to get up early!

I went out on Thursday with an Australian that I met. It was nice to talk to someone whose native language is English! I’ve been trying to work on my Italian, but I’m not the most patient person and it isn’t going as quickly as I was hoping. Milan is beautiful! Everything that I imagined and more. I know my way around, too. The food, the culture, the fashion. And I love the people!

My host family continues to be amazing as well. They really treat me like family, making it near impossible to get homesick!

I am planning a Rome trip for this weekend as well, so I’m definitely looking forward to that! All is well. #ciaome
