What were you grateful for this week?
This week I was grateful to have good friends who helped make the best surprise happen for me!

What was the most challenging part of this week?
This week was hard at the start of the week because I knew my boyfriend was coming to visit the next week and it made time go so slow waiting for him!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. 
This week a wow moment with my host family was actually her helping my boyfriend surprise me!

Tell us about your week! 
This week was so awesome! Early in the week time went slow cause I knew (or at least thought) my boyfriend would get to Rome to visit on Saturday. Friday two of my friends got to Rome and I met up with them until I had to go pick the boys up from school. My host mom knew my friends were here so after we picked up the boys she told me I could leave and meet up with them. Turns out that was because she knew my boyfriend was secretly here a day earlier than I expected so he could propose. My friends said they wanted to go to this lookout at the park so I met them to go there we walked around for awhile (them stalling haha) then went up to the lookout and kept walking through the park one of them kind of leading the way without me even catching on and ended up at another lookout. She asked if either of us wanted a picture and I was like no not really I’m not ready or anything and she was like just let me try. So I’m standing there having pictures taken and suddenly my boyfriend appears from nowhere with a bunch of flowers. My first thought when I saw flowers was one of those guys who is always trying to sell flowers then I realized it was him and it took me a second to realize what was going on! It was amazing and now Rome and Italy get to be even more special to me than they would have already been! For the rest of the weekend we spent our time in Italy. 

 

Saturday we rented a car and went to saturnia hot springs, Sunday and Monday I showed tanner around Rome. I took him to my favorite gelato shops and we did all the typical things in Rome like the colosseum and Trevi fountain. It was an amazing weekend!
