What were you grateful for this week?Time to get rid of jet lag and get used to time difference.

What was the most challenging part of this week?Getting phone transferred to Australian plan.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. Spending time playing and getting to know the kids even in time off.

Tell us about your week! This week was good, I finished my first full week here in Australia! There was a lot of learning this week. It was a little overwhelming at first since everything is different. The smells, plants/ scenery, driving, accents, payment, food, etc. I know with time I will be familiarized and learn to love it all.

I ate lamb and duck, which i never tried before, but they were decent! The fruit here though is amazing. I’ve never been a fan of mangos but this week I probably ate more than I had in my whole life before! So sweet and fresh. I also love the golden kiwis.

I did a little exploring in my time off. I was able to walk to some of the parks and see some of the beautiful gardens and wildlife. I love all the big, colorful birds and all their unique sounds. I did get attacked by a smaller one that is known to be a little aggressive, but nothing to bad. The weather is starting to warm up a little everyday! A bit of spring rain too. In the next few weeks it should be summer hot. It was also great to get to know the host family and boys. They are very sweet and i am excited to know them better. I love how excited the boys are to have an au pair in their house!
