What were you grateful for this week?Getting more confident in driving.

What was difficult or challenging this week?Keeping up with busy holiday schedule and still being a little confused and new.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.Consistently did the dishes for everyone each day.

Tell us about your week! Another full week down under! I learned a lot this week about not only driving but public transportation. I think I finally have the hang of the opposite driving (ride side of the car, left side of the road). I’ve had to really think about the turns and forget what I knew about driving and now I’m much more confident.

I took the busses and trains around a couple times over the weekend. The public transportation is very cheap and affordable! It is also amazingly clean. Round trip an hour to and an hour from central Sydney it was a total of $5.40!

My highlight of the week was going into the main city to see the infamous Sydney Opera House!! So so cool, kinda felt just like I was in a movie. I met another au pair there and we took a tour of all three sections, theaters, sets, etc. Later we decided to go to a show and it was amazing. The singers and actors were extremely talented and put on a great musical. We were also able to get some lunch at the Opera House Kitchen. It was good but quite expensive. A plain cheeseburger with a few fries was $35, with a discount! After that we walked through the gardens on the other side of the harbor and opera house. A picturesque fun filled weekend!
