What were you grateful for this week?Grateful for the beautiful world we live in!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week?[My host family’s daughter] still struggles with me picking her up from school. She would rather be with anyone else.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week. I spent a night watching [my host family’s daughter] and while she was asleep I did all the dishes, cleaned the apartment, and folded their laundry!

Tell us about your week! This week was really really great! I went to see the Vatican with C. Our tour guide was a little bit dull but he did tell some cool facts. The best part of the tour was St. Peter’s basilica! It was absolutely incredible! It was the largest church I’ve ever seen and our tour guide said it was the largest church in the world! It was beautiful!

We had a really great time on the tour and then had time to get some pizza afterwards because we were both starving! Italians don’t really eat breakfast! Then this weekend I went to cinque Terre with A2! Again, it was wonderful! The trip was super chill and we didn’t really plan very much.

But we bought a train ticket and were able to see all five of the towns in one day. They were all incredible! Manarola was probably my favorite of the towns. It was very colorful and bright. We found a little cliff area where we could take pictures and we just hung out and looked at the sea and the town. Such a beautiful area! We ate fantastic pesto pasta in one of the towns. Apparently, this area of the world is famous for their pesto pasta, and let me tell you, it was the best pesto I’ve ever had! After walking for a million miles though, we were ready to come back to Rome.
