What were you grateful for this week?

Grateful for new friends in this city and my host families Aunt and cousin for helping me out with the kids! Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.

A wow moment I had was when the 2 year old daughter went into the ocean with me!

Tell us about your week!

I have been at a beach house in Tuscany for the past week and it’s been really fun! I have been getting to know the family a bit more, our typical schedule here is breakfast, beach, lunch, naptime, beach, dinner, park, and then bedtime! It’s been nice to have a little break from traveling and just relax.

With that being said, I was able to meet up with some other au pairs in this town one from Poland and one from Spain! They were so nice and im so glad I met them here we took a Saturday day trip to Monterosso and Portovenere by boat and it was beautiful!

We went to Portovenere and toured a castle there were some pretty amazing views and of course we took tons of pictures! and in Monterosso we had lunch at a cute little cafe and I tried spritz for the first time, not my favorite thing ever. But I went cliff jumping for the first time. And I met some cool people who were studying abroad in Florence and took a little day trip to Monterosso on Saturday also it was nice to talk to some people who spoke fluent English ‘:)

This week we will head back home to Milan on Thursday and I might try to make a day trip out to Verona on Saturday or Sunday!
