What were you grateful for this week?I was so grateful for the generousity of my host family! They are so loving and they always make sure I am being taken care of! 

What was the most difficult or challenging part of this week? The most challenging part of this week was….nothing! I had an amazing relaxing week with my family at the beach! 

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.A wow moment I had this week was when Isa and I were able to help teach [my host family’s daughter] how to swim! She’s already basically a fish, but while we were in the sea we helped her work on her technique so she can swim more effectively!

Tell us about your week! This week was so good! I spent the entire week with my family in Abruzzo and everyday we go to the beach and just relax and play in the sea! The weather has been so amazing and the water is the perfect temperature! Everyday we have the best meals and since I’ve been here I have been able to try so many cool dishes, like squid, rabbit, and so many other things I never would have been able to try at home! 

On Sunday I also got to meet a lot of the relatives of my host family and they are just as amazing! We ate dinner at my host father’s parent’s house and it was amazing! They are all so sweet and welcoming and helped me feel so comfortable! I also was able to have the best gelato when I was eating with them! I don’t know what made it different, but it was honestly so delicious! 

Another one of my favorite moments this week is when Isa and I woke up early to watch the sunrise! We walked up and down the beach for a bit and then we sat down, read, and made the coolest time lapse of the sun coming up! If I had to describe it in one word it would be Magical! It was such a fun moment and something I will always remember!
