What were you grateful for this week? This week I was grateful to find salt and vinegar chips in Barcelona!

What was the most challenging part of this week? The hardest part of my week was almost missing my flight home from Barcelona. A and I got on the wrong train going to the airport and I got to where I needed to go through security 5-10 minutes before I was supposed to board my flight. So I was super stressed out when that was happening.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.

This week I spent extra time with the kids working on English and I loved seeing them getting excited about it!

Tell us about your week! This week was rainy so I mostly just took it easy at home but this weekend I went to Barcelona where the weather was nice. It was so pretty there I loved it! It was interesting to see a different country in Europe and find similarities between Spain and Italy. We stayed in a hostel and it was my first time so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I actually didn’t mind it, it was nice to be able to drop of our luggage early before we check in and everything.

The first day we went to this super awesome market. There was SO much food and never-ending amounts of fruit. I was in heaven!!!! I got an empanada and two guava smoothies (I love guava) coconut and passion fruit. This was one of my favorite places I’ve been in Europe haha I was so excited about all the fruit. We walked along the famous street La Rambla, did some shopping, visited the gothic quarter, then decided to head up to this castle that we saw on the map (we didn’t even know what is was). This was by far the best decision we made! We walked a little ways up and ended up passing the pool that they used for the olympics which was a cool but when we got a little closer we found out there was a lift that could take you to the top where the castle was. The view from the lift was SOOOO amazing and one of the prettiest things I have ever seen. We could see such a pretty view of the city and the sunset was so beautiful! I am so glad we ended up doing this even when we originally had no idea it even existed. We ended our night with some tacos and churros which were bomb.

Day two we found a bunch of stands selling art and spent some time there looking around. I’m glad we came across this cause I decided on my last trip I want to collect art everywhere I travel so I was happy to find a painting I wanted! We also spent a lot of time at Park Guell which was beautiful! The view of the city was beautiful and so was the park. It was nice to be out of the city and around trees and fresh air! We attempted to make it to the beach for sunset but missed it but I loved being there at night. I loved Barcelona and am so glad I was able to make it there!
