Disneyland in Hong Kong: R’s Week

What were you grateful for this week?

Friends.

What was the most challenging part of this week?

It’s challenging to stop eating all the yummy food!

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.

We were all sitting around the dinner table and the Grandma says something in Chinese. [My host family’s daughter] then turns to me and translates what the Grandma says! This was the first time she’s done that and it’s amazing that she’s picking up the language so fast.

Tell us about your week!

This week has been packed with a handful of experiences (and a whole lot of walking). This week I have managed to make over 5 close friends, traveled to multiple popular shopping destinations, figured out a workout routine at the local park, went to Hong Kong Disney, hiked three mountains and have been trying all kinds of new foods. China has been treating me very well and I’m having a blast.
