What were you grateful for this week?
Going to Sydney.

What was the most challenging part of this week?
Finding my way around a new city.

Tell us about a “wow” moment you had this week.
Taking a bus to the grocery store for my host mom to get ALL the groceries (something I never do).

Tell us about your week!
All week I had [my host family’s son]. He was a handful at times but I love him so much that I don’t even care haha. I had a typical Aussie week which include caring for [my host family’s son], going to jog out southbank, and meet up with my friends.

Something different that I did this week was that I took my first flight through Australia. I flew from Brisbane to Sydney for 5 days. The first day in Sydney was very fun because we went clubbing and got some drinks with some people that lived in Sydney that we had met in Brisbane the weekend before. We visited the opera house which was a must because how do you go to Sydney and not go to it? We also went to Bondi Beach which is a real famous beach here. We did a few other things like went to sugar republic, did a bar crawl and tried new food/restaurants.

One day we took to a train to the blue mountains where we did a hike called “the three sisters” which was really cool but really hard. There were so many steps. (I’ll include some pictures.) Overall, this week/weekend was really fun and I’m so glad that I was able to experience another big part of this place that I get to call home, Australia.
